Greetings, if you are posting in these forums that means you are the forerunners of our WarpPortal community! And we sincerely appreciate your patience and efforts in making this big launch a success!
July 21st was the launch day for WarpPortal, it sort of spilled over into July 22nd before everything was opened up for registration. A few surprises were found when the system was put under more load stress and more varied computer setups, that of course was expected.
Below are a list of Bugs that we have seen, experienced, or were reported:
Could not login to the forums with special characters in my Password
Forum: Could not login to the forums with special characters in my Password.
Status FIXED
Forum: Someone sent me a PM/Conversation message and it flooded my mail box.
Status FIXED.
Registration: Captcha timed out/failed
Status: Disabled Captcha until working correctly
Adding Game Acct: entering correct information for adding a non-matching email game account = wrong information.
Status : Fixed, it was a wrong setting on checking for capitalization
Adding Game Acct: Password stated to be wrong, even when used for logging into the game.
Status Fixed
Adding non matching Email game acct: can not type in account name due to non-alphanumeric character.
Status being fixed currently..
Ragnarok, can't delete characters after binding to WarpPortal
Status : Currently it is a problem whether you bound or not to a WarpPortal account. We are working on this issue.
Registration being slow: we are working on the processes efficiency right now to be sure that the highest security is maintained and squeezing out the best performance possible.
While that is an ongoing process, in the early days large gains in performance can be expected as gross tuning is possible.
WarpPortal energy -> game points conversion is not as good as the old $ -> game point conversion:
Correct for now. the Energy is our stored value that allows for administration of several accounts from 1 payment, both for current games and future titles that are added. The "bulk" rates may see a return either as events or as permanents. But the early days of WarpPortal are needing very careful tuning and accounting measures to be sure all our eyes are dotted and teas are crossed to be sure the system is behaving as designed always.
Issue: Can't add my game account because the email address registered is not accessible anymore.
Answer, that will require a support.warpportal ticket to update the email. The email confirmation is the last and best security measure and it is absolutely required to preserve the non-hostile-takeovers for accounts. The CS team expects a multitude of such tickets in the upcoming weeks.
You may wonder why the old websites haven't been given a ton of pushing for WarpPortal registrations yet.. It is because we know there are some efficiency issues right now, we will get them ironed out in a day or so, then the floodgates can be opened up for the more timid, of new things, players we have.
