Class: Defender>commander
-Role in group pve: Tank and DPS
-Role in group pvp: Good pvp'er with stun immunity, front line tank.
-Solo play: DPS
-Other notes: effective tank but not as good as protector
Class:Defender>Protector
-Role in group pve: Pure Tank
-Role in group pvp: Pure Tank
-Solo play: Pure Tank
-Other notes: Pure Tank
Class:Templar>Tempest
-Role in group pve: AoE specialist, magic caster DPS, secondary healer
-Role in group pvp: AoE specialist, AoE support, secondary healer
-Solo play: AoE specialist, but not as many mobs as in group (2-3 as opposed to 4+ in a group)
-Other notes: Can give emergency heals when called upon.
Class:Warrior->Berserker
-Role in group pve: Pure DPS, back up tank, insanely high damage
-Role in group pvp: Front line DPS with skills that can dash toward enemies, and also stun.
-Solo play: 1vs1 fast kills
-Other notes: most damaging class in the game
Class:Warrior-> warlord
-Role in group pve: Party buffs, gives extra damage for melee and debuffs enemies . also damage dealer but not as good as berserker
-Role in group pvp: Mostly support buffs for melee, can also take a beating and deal damage
-Solo play: autoattacker with decent damage
-Other notes: not many people play it
Soul hunter -> Dominator
-Role in group pve: just deals damage with pets and spells
-Role in group pvp: damage
-Solo play: destroys enemies fast with 1vs1 DPS from spells and pets
-Other notes: best solo class in the game.
Soul hunter -> Defiler
-Role in group pve: AoE stun and AoE damage with Damage over time spells
-Role in group pvp: freeze opponents and shower with AoE
-Solo play: aoe enemies
-Other notes: least played class in the game
Hunter->Ranger
-Role in group pve: uses launcher for long range damage, with plenty of stuns and wide ranged aoe
-Role in group pvp: stun specialist
-Solo play: 1vs1 DPS or aoe damage if u have the build
Shaman ->Mystic
-Role in group pve: Lots of 1vs1 damage, one of the best magic DPS in the game, can also aoe
-Role in group pvp: ranged magic DPS and support with totems
Here's general rundown of 8 basic classes:
Templar: healer and magic DPS
Shaman: Magic DPS/support with totems
Rogues: stun specialist with DoT damage
Soul hunter: Debuffer and pets
Hunter: ranged specialist or damage with traps
Battle magician: emergency healer and ranged DPS
Defender: tank
warrior: DPS
