There seems to be a lot of confusion about Avengers vs Rangers. I will attempt to explain a few things about Avengers to help out the poor Noobs who automatically assume that an Avenger is a hacked Ranger.
Avengers have +defense passive buff. Rangers loose defense using their buffs. Don't expect to kill an avenger as easily as a ranger. Also, because ornaments do not increase attack damage for traps most Avengers have stocked up on C-C Lab sets. This means better skill crits for the traps and LOTS of hp. High HP+ high Def = Harder to kill than a ranger when caught.
Traps do NOT disappear when you kill the avenger. You can actually step on one after they are dead. They did not cast the trap while dead, it was likely already there.
Avengers at level 60+ have FOUR traps. Paralysis Trap, Bomb Trap, Explosion Trap and Guided Trap. They can, and will if they get the chance, hit you FOUR times in a row. This is not a hack, this is just how the character works.
If you see an Avenger standing still/camping a flag, it is likely they have already laid all four traps. While waiting for you to come along the cool down period on all four has passed. That means that when you walk straight up to what looks like a ranger that is not shooting you from 45m away expect to get trapped. Then expect after the first four traps you stepped in go off that the Avenger (not a ranger surprise!) is going to continue to hit you with four more traps. Once again, this is not a hack, it is possible to be hit with a buttload of traps.
Here's another hint for all the noobs out there. If an Avenger is standing in a field in FoC with not one around you can be pretty sure he/she is standing on their traps waiting for a sin to come along. Stunned or not, the traps are already set.
I am sure that there are hacked Avengers out there, may they rot in hell, but please understand the class before spouting off about hacks. Of course there is nothing more satisfying than listening to someone you just owned calling you a "noob".
